Fakulteten is a Swedish production company founded in 2023, working across film, art and archival works. The company develops fiction and documentary films, artist-led projects and research-driven practice that explore the relationship between visual culture, memory and history.

Our work is grounded in close collaborations with artists, researchers and cultural institutions, combining archival material with newly created visual forms. Through this interdisciplinary approach, Fakulteten produces films and installations designed for cinema, exhibitions and public presentation: works that engage with artistic legacies while speaking to contemporary audiences.

  • Christian Rossipal

    FOUNDER, DIRECTOR & PRODUCER

    Rossipal is a filmmaker and has a PhD in Cinema Studies at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, working with archival material and interdisciplinary film production. As founder of Fakulteten, he initiates and develops projects at the intersection of film, art and historical research. Builds films through excavation, patience and repetition.

  • Salad Hilowle

    CO-FOUNDER, ARTIST, DIRECTOR & PRODUCER

    Hilowle is a contemporary artist, director and producer working across film and contemporary art. He holds a MFA from the Royal Institute of Art and a BFA from Konstfack in Stockholm. His work often engages with history, institutions and artistic collaboration as central elements of the filmmaking process. Focuses on presence: historical and physical.

  • Henrik Pekkari

    ASSOCIATE PRODUCER & EDITOR

    Pekkari works across production and editing, supporting projects from early development through final delivery. He holds a MA in Culture, Society, Media Production from Linköpings university. His work connects planning, coordination and post-production within Fakulteten’s productions. Maintains rhythm where complexity accumulates.
