Fakulteten AB is a Swedish production company working at the intersection of film, art and historical archives. Founded in 2023, the company develops projects across disciplines, merging artistic practice with cinematic form.

Our productions move between fiction and documentary filmmaking, combining artistic collaboration with archival research to create visually distinctive works for cinema, exhibition and public space. We do not follow formats. Each project invents its own grammar.

Research is the work. Many of our projects begin in archives - personal, institutional or historical - where images, voices and fragments of memory form the basis of new narratives. Through montage, animation and filming, fragments begin to speak to each other.

This method allows past and present to coexist within the same visual space, creating films that move between history and lived experience.

Our projects are developed in partnership with artists, curators, cultural institutions, archives and independent partners. These relationships shape each production from research to final form, providing access to unique materials, spaces and perspectives.

Partnership is not administration. It is a shared risk. We value long-term collaborations that support sustained artistic development and expand the possibilities of film: across disciplines, geographies and formats.
